Club Mission Statement

The Perryville Panther wrestling club focuses on teaching basic skills as well as developing advanced technique. Our program encourages good sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork, academics, and strong fundamentals. So whether your child is a beginner or an advanced wrestler, our club will prepare them for high school wrestling and beyond. Our club has a team which competes in the UCWL. Our advanced wrestlers compete in some of the toughest tournaments in the region. We also participate in many novice tournaments for our 1st and 2nd year wrestlers.

We believe that ATTITUDE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN FACTS. IT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE PAST, THAN EDUCATION, THAN MONEY, THAN CIRCUMSTANCES, THAN FAILURE, THAN SUCCESS, THAN WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK, SAY, OR DO.

IT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN APPEARANCE, GIFTEDNESS OR SKILL. IT WILL MAKE OR BREAK A TEAM, A HOME, A FRIENDSHIP, AN ORGANIZATION. THE REMARKABLE THING IS, YOU HAVE A CHOICE EVERYDAY OF WHAT YOUR ATTITUDE WILL BE.

WE CANNOT CHANGE OUR PAST. WE CANNOT CHANGE THE ACTIONS OF OTHERS. WE CANNOT CHANGE THE INEVITABLE. THE ONLY THING WE CAN CHANGE IS OUR ATTITUDE. LIFE IS 10% OF WHAT HAPPENS TO US AND 90% OF HOW WE REACT TO IT.
